Schools and Centers of Learning

Collaborating to build an equipped network of support.

Play is a mental health tool, a learning strategy, and a cornerstone for a life well-lived.

Analyze.

We want to meet with you. The first stage is a time of discernment. We meet. We talk about specific needs among your classrooms, students, and families. We collaborate with you the administrators, teachers, and parents to develop the best plan of action.

Explore.

ANOVA provides mental health treatment to students. This is when the teamwork starts. We work with you the teachers, parents, and administrators to implement our strategy that addresses the development and behavioral health needs of your students.

Students who are referred by teachers with consent from their parents are observed, assessed, and treated with behavioral and emotional interventions such as Play Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy.

When necessary, we will refer students for higher levels of care in the community.

Embrace.

At Anova Family services we offer therapy that is customized to each student and their environment so that in the therapeutic process we can address their specific needs.

At the heart of our work is the understanding that the healing process extends beyond the child to the communities that inform and shape their lives.

Celebrate.

We gradually build a relationship with the student through Play Therapy because play automatically decreases anxiety in the child. When a student’s anxiety comes down they are willing to talk about the issues affecting them.

We encourage parents and caregivers to incorporate Special Play Time into the family routine.

At Anova we believe every child deserves a healthy, secure childhood.
