Anova family services is a team of Psychologists/Therapists/Social Workers/Educators in Southern California.

We are here to support, foster, nurture and empower healthier schools and communities with a specific focus on Early Childhood in educational spaces.

Who will I be working with?

What if my school doesn’t have Anova Family Services?

Anova family services offers a free one-hour consultation to principals and administrators to understand the role of a mental health consultant. Together we’ll explore what services are the best fit. Mental Health Services can be tailored to the unique needs of your school!

What schools does Anova currently cover?

We currently are contracted with Redlands, Hemet, and Moreno Valley Unified School Districts to provide counseling and mental health services to Head Start, State Preschool students, and alternative centers of learning.

What is play-based therapy?

Therapy is most successful with children through play. The therapist uses interventions of Positive Reinforcement, Reflective Listening, Interacting with the student and understanding the student’s emotional state.

Play-Based Therapies will also recommend parents and caregivers also spend time in play with their children in order to enhance Parent-Child relationships.

Students reenact their life experiences in play in a way that they are not capable of describing with words. Problems they have experienced or they are currently experiencing are addressed within the context of play.

We at Anova family services believe in the use of Play Therapy as a mental health modality that improves learning, and family relationships in addition to building emotional skills in students.
